Accessible via SR 267 (no boat needed, entry fee), it’s a short walk from parking. Paddling inside the park is not permitted. Summer weekends pack the park—arrive by 8 AM. For quiet, visit weekdays in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), mornings ideal. Pets are permitted in designated areas. A lodge is available in the park. Water clarity is typically vivid but can cloud with tannic Wakulla River backflow after rain. Check —stable, low levels around 5-6 feet ensure clarity, clearest from late fall to early spring during dry periods.
