Lithia Spring Major

The primary spring head that feeds Alafia River, forming the well-known spring pool at Lithia Springs County Park. It produces a large, clear basin with steady flow, making it one of the most recognizable and accessible springs in the Tampa Bay region. The spring is fully developed for recreation, with a designated swimming area, park facilities, and consistent visibility. While it doesn’t have the dramatic blue seen at some north Florida springs, it’s valued for its size, reliability, and easy access, especially during warmer months.
