Juniper Springs

It features an oval-shaped pool approximately 120 × 90 ft with limestone vents, sand, and aquatic vegetation. The spring maintains a constant water temperature of about 72 °F and is the headwaters of Juniper Creek, which meanders northeast toward Lake George through a scenic cypress and hardwood swamp. Visitors enjoy amenities like a historic millhouse, footbridge, canoe launch, swimming, snorkeling, and a seven‑mile canoe run downstream. While alcohol and pets may be permitted in the camping area, they are not allowed in the day use areas. Paddling Juniper run is a bit more challenging than most. The small shoals and rapids are not ideal for inflatable paddle boards and they are not permitted for use via the park. Clarity is best when the water height is 0.8 - 1.2 feet and improves with lower levels.
