A dramatic, cave-style spring vent located on the east side of the pond. The vent lies inside a shallow bay of the pond (approximately 6 ft deep at the pool) and extends back into a limestone cave passage roughly 200 ft or more. Snorkeling and kayaking are possible, though entry is best by paddle craft due to submerged logs and minimal shoreline amenities. Access: Public waterway (Merritt’s Mill Pond) but undeveloped; launch via Hunter Fish Camp Road or Blue Springs Recreation Area.
