Garner Spring

A group of two karst springs on the Wacissa River in Jefferson County. The first vent is encountered in the river channel, and a short side-channel leads to the second pool, which is roughly 30 ft in diameter and features a large submerged cypress trunk across the vent. Access is only by boat or paddle from the main river; there are no developed swim amenities. Water clarity below 30.5 feet offers the best chances at clarity. Expect clarity to improve with lower water levels.
