The head of the spring is characterized by two limestone bridges forming two small pools, with a scenic spring run of about 250 feet that merges into the river. The site is publicly accessible via paddling on the river, and there’s a short boardwalk and concrete boat ramp reported. Water clarity is usually moderate to clear near the vent, though visibility may decline depending on river stage and tannic influence. Look for stable water levels around 20 feet for the best chance of clarity. As levels approach and drop below 18 feet the spring run may completely dry up.
