Bugg Spring

Bugg Spring is a second-magnitude spring with a deep, circular pool about 400 feet wide, reaching depths of 170-175 feet. Located on private property leased by the U.S. Navy for research, it’s not accessible to the public. Surrounded mostly by swampland with sandhills to the south, its outflow feeds into Bugg Spring Run and eventually Lake Harris. The water is clear and cold, historically significant as a site near a Seminole village and later the home of Confederate Colonel J.J. Dickison.
