Waddells Mill Pond Spring

Located at the head of Waddell’s Mill Pond, discharging into an impounded basin just west of Jacob City (Open Location Code VMG4+V3). The spring issues clear water into the pond, which historically fed the Chipola River via Waddell Mill Creek. The pond head is presently on private property, while the lower pond and dam area are owned and managed by the Northwest Florida Water Management District, limiting broader public waterway access. Water clarity near the vent is typically high, though diminished downstream in the pond due to tannic inflow and standing water conditions.
