Photo by: Florida SpringsThe third in the Devil’s Spring System at Ginnie Springs, is a unique spring known for its crystal-clear, 72-degree water and a modest contribution to the system’s 40 million gallons per day. This tight, 50-foot-deep fissure—only 4 feet wide—offers a dramatic descent into two small caves (now naturally sealed), ideal for shallow diving and snorkeling. Surrounded by cypress trees along the same 300-foot run as its siblings, it’s accessible via the Devil’s boardwalk. It’s less crowded than Devil’s Eye or Ear but still busy on summer weekends with divers—early arrival is wise. For solitude, visit mid-week in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), enjoying its intimate beauty in peace. Alcohol only at campsites. Some areas may not be accessible to visitors with disabilities. Give them a call before you visit for the lastest accommodations. Water clarity shines unless tannic river water intrudes during high flows. Look for clarity below 24 feet with optimal conditions below 22 feet.
