This small, circular pool—about 20 feet wide—drops to 20 feet deep, revealing a cave entrance framed by limestone, making it a diver’s delight for both open-water and cave exploration. Encircled by cypress trees and a short run to the Santa Fe River, it’s perfect for snorkeling and diving, accessible via a wooden boardwalk from the park’s main area. It gets packed during peak summer weekends and diving season, often with experienced divers—early mornings are key. For tranquility, visit mid-week in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), avoiding the bustle of holiday crowds. Alcohol only at campsites. Some areas may not be accessible to visitors with disabilities. Give them a call before you visit for the lastest accommodations. Water clarity is stunning but can falter when the Santa Fe River rises, pushing tannic water into the run. Optimal clarity aligns with low river levels below 22 feet.
