King Spring

One of the largest and most visually prominent springs in the Kings Bay system. It forms a wide, sandy-bottom spring bowl with strong upward flow that’s easy to spot from the surface, often marked by shimmering water and circular sand patterns. The spring is fully submerged but shallow enough to view clearly, making it a favorite stop for kayakers and snorkelers when conditions allow. During cooler months, manatees frequently congregate in and around King Spring, and seasonal wildlife protections may restrict access or require keeping distance.
